All Pillar To Post Home Inspectors undergo rigorous training, both in the classroom and on-site in homes. Only after successfully completing training are individuals qualified as Pillar To Post certified home inspectors. Once certified, Pillar To Post inspectors are also required to continually upgrade their skills to keep current with new technologies and professional standards.

Inspectors are also required to be licensed in the state of Washington. This requires completion of a minimum of 120 hours of board-approved classroom instruction and of up to 40 hours of field training supervised by a state-licensed home inspector. We are also required to complete 24 hours of continuing education every two years. All of our inspections conform to the Washington State Standards of Practice for Home Inspections and Home Inspectors.

We are members of professional home inspection associations that also require testing for certifications and require ongoing continuing education to maintain membership. All of our inspections are conducted using the Standards of Practice of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).

In addition, all Pillar To Post home inspectors must carry Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance.
